Description: 

During this Financial Literacy Month program, teens in grades 6-12 will learn about Financial Decisions from the Illinois State Credit Union.

If there is one question many high school seniors are tired of being asked, it is “what are you doing after high school?” Making a big decision about what’s next – a decision that can shape the next several decades of your life – is a lot of pressure.

Whether you have decided on a path or not, you should plan to join us to learn more about the options available to you after high school and things to consider about managing your money long term.

What you will learn:

- Things to consider when making big decisions about college, trade    school, or entering the workforce

- Options to pay for higher education

- Managing money after graduation

Who should attend:

- Anyone planning to enter the workforce or pursue higher education

- Parents or guardians of young adults

- Any young adult that wants to be prepared for life’s financial adventures

Durante este programa del Mes de la Educación Financiera, los adolescentes de los grados 6 a 12 aprenderán sobre decisiones financieras con la ayuda de la Cooperativa de Unión de Créditos del Estado de Illinois.

It'sMyCU is partnering with the Bloomington-Normal YMCA for their Healthy Kids Event at the YMCA. Healthy Kids Day is a free, family-friendly community event designed to inspire kids and families to build healthy habits while having fun together.

Join them for a morning filled with activities your kids will love, including bounce houses, balloon animals, face painting, arts & crafts, and refreshments. Families can also take advantage of our dedicated sensory space, offering a calm and welcoming environment for children who may need a break from the excitement.

It'sMyCU will be at the Bloomington-Normal YMCA for their Muffins with Mom Event!

Join us in the Community Room on Saturday, May 2nd from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to celebrate the moms and grandmas that make this community special with our FREE Muffins with Mom event! They'll have delicious muffins for all participants to enjoy, and families can spend some time making arts and crafts together like painting flower pots and other fun acitivites!
